2016 Dublin Literary Award

One of the world’s richest literary prizes, the Dublin Literary Award (formerly known as the “IMPAC”) has just announced the one hundred and sixty books of their longlist for the 2016 award. Books are nominated for the Award by invited public libraries in cities throughout the world, based on their “high literary merit”. With a prize of €100,000 for the author of the winning book, or in the case of a translation €75,000 to the author and €25,000 to the translator it is a hotly sought after prize.

Works must be available in English and this year we have nineteen different languages being represented with fifty-three of the one hundred and sixty books being translated from another language.
