Yes we may only be a few hours away from announcing the
Independent Foreign Fiction Prize Shadow Jury’s shortlist for 2015, but over
the ocean in the USA, Three Percent have announced the longlist for the 2015
Best Translated Book Award.
This Award gives the winning author and the winning
translator a cash prize of $5000 from Amazon. Personally I find the depth of
this award more stimulating than the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize
listings, however that is probably the subject of another post about the
differences in the eligibility for the awards, the publishing, the judges etc.
From the longlist of twenty-five titles I have previously

The shortlist will be announced on Tuesday 5 May with the winner being announced on Wednesday 27 May. I will get through a few of these before the winner is announced (with a number on my shelf already there is an incentive). Reviews will be posted here as I complete them.
